Orchard Harvesting Platform KRT-3/4S

Orchard Harvesting Platform KRT-3/4S is a unique device designed for complete fruit harvesting in modern orchards. Pick fruits from the bottom and the top of the trees in only one pass! There are two models available: KRT-2/4S for 2 bins and KRT-3/4S for 3 bins. This platform handles both the harvest as well as transporting the full bins from orchard to the storehouse. K RT-3/4S is a larger version of KRT-2/4S with additional, third bin (120 x 100 x 80cm) on top. This makes the harvest even more efficient! When unfolding the pivoting side platforms located at the ends, one additional platform slides out from under the middle box.

This creates one long platform on each side. The platforms can be entered from both sides – front and back. Railings design allows for setting them at different angles. It minimises the risk of fruit damage when the device is moving. Railings and the side platforms are connected. Unfolding the platforms also unfolds the lower bar of the railing. KRT-3/4S is best suited for modern orchards with 3 – 3,5 m row spacing. The working height is equal 123 cm and provide a range to approx. 3.2 m above the ground.

Preparation for Harvesting:

After pulling the set into the row, unfold the railings. Until the bins are filled, the railings stay open.

STEP I: First pick fruit from the lower parts of the trees. When the side platforms are raised, KRT-3/4S is used just like regular picking trains.

STEP II Unfold side platforms, climb up the stairs located in front and in the back. Pick fruit from the upper parts of the trees (it is recommended to use picking buckets/containers for harvesting). After the work is done, fold the side platforms, move the tractor forward and continue with step I.

Fruits picked from the top can be loaded directly to the upper bin or alternatively they can be loaded in buckets and then poured to to lower bins, just like with the KRT-2/4S.

Use the optional bucket hanger for storing buckets with KRT-3/4S.

Our best recommendation for a harvesting setup is Orchard Cart With 4-Wheels Steering W3/4S with 4-wheel steering. These are used for picking fruit from the ground level. After fruit is harvested from the lower parts of the trees, you then need a hydraulic platform to finish the job and pick fruit from the top of the trees.
