Orchard Harvesting Platform KRT-2/4S

Orchard Harvesting Platform KRT-2/4S is a unique device designed for complete fruit harvesting in modern orchards. Pick fruits from the bottom and the top of the trees in only one pass! There are two models available: KRT-2/4S for 2 bins and KRT-3/4S for 3 bins. This platform handles both the harvest as well as transporting the full bins from orchard to the storehouse. The 2 bin version allows mixing fruits with different colour during the harvest, ensuring even distribution in all bins. 4 wheel steering provide excellent manoeuvrability.

This comes in handy especially when working with long sets. Multiple units (2 – 3 or more) can be connected together to increase bin capacity and working length. KRT-2/4S is best suited for orchards with 3 – 3,5 m row spacing. Foldable side platforms can be accessed by stairs from the both sides. The platforms are 123 cm above the ground. Side platforms and stairs are equipped with anti-slip aluminium flooring and galvanised railings. The railings are adjustable in two steps for different row spacings . Get 12 pcs. of K RT-2/4S for a price of a single self-propelled platform or one harvester; This adds up to 4 sets for 6 bins each!

Preparation for Harvesting:

After pulling the set into the row, unfold the railings. Until the bins are filled, the railings stay open.

STEP I: First pick fruit from the lower parts of the trees. When the side platforms are raised, KRT-2/4S is used just like regular picking trains.

STEP II Unfold side platforms, climb up the stairs located in front and in the back. Pick fruit from the upper parts of the trees (it is recommended to use picking buckets/containers for harvesting). After the work is done, fold the side platforms, move the tractor forward and continue with step I.

Our best recommendation for a harvesting setup is Orchard Cart With 4-Wheels Steering W3/4S with 4-wheel steering. These are used for picking fruit from the ground level. After fruit is harvested from the lower parts of the trees, you then need a hydraulic platform to finish the job and pick fruit from the top of the trees.
